Terms of Service

The plain-English version is at the bottom. Last updated October 2026.

1. Who we are

AI Help South Jersey ("we," "us") provides Jersey, an AI phone assistant and related text, reminder and review services, to small businesses in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Atlantic and Cape May counties, New Jersey. By booking a consultation, starting a trial, or paying for service, you ("you," "your business") agree to these terms. A signed service agreement, where one exists, controls if it conflicts with this page.

2. What Jersey is, and isn't

Jersey is software. She answers the calls you choose to send her, follows the rules and information you give us, books appointments or takes orders as configured, and texts you summaries. She is not a person, not an employee, and not an emergency service.

AI can make mistakes. Jersey may mishear, misunderstand, or respond imperfectly. We test every setup before go-live and review monthly, but we do not guarantee that every call will be answered or handled correctly, that every booking, order or message will be accurate, or that you will achieve any particular business result. You are responsible for reviewing Jersey's summaries and for all decisions and actions taken based on them.

3. Emergencies

Jersey follows the emergency rules you set (for example, texting you immediately, or telling a caller who smells gas to leave and call 911). She cannot dispatch help, and we are not responsible for responding to emergencies on your behalf or on behalf of your callers. You are responsible for monitoring and acting on emergency alerts.

4. Your information and your rules

Jersey only says what you've approved: your hours, services, prices or price policy, service area and rules. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you give us and for telling us when it changes. We never ask for your passwords; connections to Google, Microsoft, Facebook or other services are made by you through their own authorization screens and can be revoked by you at any time.

5. Pricing, minutes and overage

Monthly pricing is tied to call volume and setup fees to complexity, as shown on our pricing section and confirmed on your free consultation. Each plan includes a set number of minutes per month; custom plans are available for higher volume. We text you at roughly 80% of your included minutes. If you exceed them, Jersey keeps answering and additional minutes are billed at $0.50 per minute on your next invoice. Two quick updates per month are included; additional quick updates are $25 each; larger changes are quoted in advance. We may set reasonable per-call and per-day limits to protect against spam and abuse. Call transfers to up to two numbers, one additional language and answering from your own documents are included; department menus, three or more transfer numbers, several languages or outbound calling are configured as a complex setup or quoted in advance.

6. Billing and cancellation

Setup fees are non-refundable once Jersey is live. Monthly fees are charged in advance to the card on file through Stripe. Service is month to month with no contract; cancel any time by text or email, and service ends at the end of the paid period. No refunds for partial months. If a payment fails and remains unpaid for 10 days, service pauses until the balance is settled. We give 30 days' notice of any price change.

7. Your responsibilities and compliance

You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your business communications, including call-recording consent, telemarketing and text-messaging rules (such as the TCPA), and any industry rules that apply to you. Review requests and reminder texts go only to customers who gave you their number in the course of doing business, and every text includes a way to opt out. You will tell us about any callers or numbers that must not be recorded or texted, and we will configure Jersey accordingly. You will not use Jersey for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful.

8. Third-party services

Voice, telephony and texting are provided through third-party platforms (currently ElevenLabs and Twilio), and calendar, review and messaging connections run through Google, Microsoft, Facebook and similar services. Their availability, changes and outages are outside our control. We will tell you promptly if an outage affects Jersey, but we are not liable for their downtime or changes.

9. Privacy and data

Call recordings, transcripts and summaries are used only to run and improve your Jersey and are available to you on request. We do not sell or share your data or your customers' data. Third-party platforms process call audio and text under their own privacy policies. You can request deletion of your data when service ends.

10. Limitation of liability and release

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to Jersey or these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the one month before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, lost bookings, missed calls, or damage to reputation, however caused. You release us from any claim based on a missed, mishandled, misheard or inaccurate call, booking, order, text or summary, and from any claim arising from how you or your staff use the information Jersey provides.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless AI Help South Jersey and its owners and contractors from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your business operations, your use of Jersey, the information and rules you provide, your communications with your customers, or your violation of these terms or any law.

12. Service changes and termination

We may update Jersey's features and these terms; material changes are announced by text or email with 30 days' notice where practical. We may suspend or end service for non-payment, abuse, or unlawful use. You may end service at any time as described above.

13. Everything else

These terms are governed by New Jersey law. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Burlington County, New Jersey, after a good-faith attempt to resolve it by phone or email first. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms and your service agreement are the entire agreement between us.

The plain-English version

  • Jersey is software that answers your phone the way you tell her to. She's good, not perfect, and you're still the one running your business.
  • She's not 911. Emergency alerts go to you; you act on them.
  • No contract. Month to month. Cancel by text.
  • Go over your minutes and she keeps answering; it's 50ยข a minute extra.
  • Your number stays yours. You never give us passwords.
  • If something goes wrong, the most you can claim from us is what you paid last month.
